Scope and YouTube disclosure

PBAV Local Uploader is a private internal production tool used by an authorised operator to manage the Proper British Army Videos YouTube channel. It uses YouTube API Services and is not available for general public registration. Use of its YouTube features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Information accessed

With OAuth authorisation, the client may access the authenticated channel's identity and status; video IDs, metadata, privacy and processing status; playlist identity and membership; thumbnail operations and upload results; and the media, metadata and thumbnail selected by the operator. It does not request or store the Google password.

Local storage

The client may store OAuth access and refresh tokens, YouTube video and playlist IDs, file hashes, approved metadata, playlist targets, upload results and operational logs. These support authentication, duplicate prevention, recovery, reconciliation and auditability.

Use and sharing

Information is used only to operate and reconcile the organisation's own channel. The client does not sell YouTube API data, use it for interest-based advertising, or share it with data brokers. Limited service providers process data only where needed to operate the local system, network connection, Google Cloud project or YouTube API Services under applicable terms.

Operator control

The operator chooses whether to grant OAuth access and expressly initiates upload, update or deletion actions. New uploads are private by default. Publication requires a separate review and approval.

Security

Tokens and operational records are held on access-controlled local storage. Communication with Google uses HTTPS. Credentials are not intentionally placed on public websites or in audit evidence.

Retention, revocation and deletion

API-derived data is refreshed or reconciled as needed. Access can be revoked through Google Account third-party connections. Following revocation or a valid deletion request, locally stored OAuth tokens and retained YouTube API-derived account data will be deleted as soon as operationally practicable and no later than 30 calendar days, except information required by law and independently created production records that are not API data. Email ourgroups.app@gmail.com to request deletion.
